This is the second "official" APE geocoin. The first was minted elsewhere in 2007 and quickly sold out. Since the last American APE cache is in our area, it seemed fitting that WSGA create a new APE coin to commemorate this famous series, and Groundspeak agreed.
The initial release is the GeoWoodstock VIII Edition, with an antique gold finish.
After GeoWoodstock, we
will be minting the General edition, which will be antique silver and
available to all geocachers on an ongoing basis.
